Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist contractor delivering complex projects across the data centre, critical infrastructure and energy sectors.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a flagship hyperscale data centre development in West London. The project comprises the construction of 18 data halls, high and medium voltage energy centres, associated infrastructure and support facilities, making it one of the region's most significant mission‑critical developments.

As Project Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring technical excellence across the project, providing engineering leadership, governance and quality assurance throughout the construction lifecycle.

The Role Reporting into the senior project leadership team, you'll be responsible for technical governance, engineering compliance and quality assurance across the project. Working closely with design teams, construction managers and package leads, you'll ensure all engineering activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual, statutory and project requirements.

This is a leadership position suited to an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in major construction or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You'll be an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record of delivering technically complex construction or infrastructure projects and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Essential:

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Significant experience leading engineering teams on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and quality management.
• Experience managing design coordination, buildability and constructability reviews.Temporary Works knowledge and practical experience.
• NEC contract experience.
• CSCS Manager Card.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

• Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centre or mission‑critical projects.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards chartership.
