Job summary

MacStaff is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering governance, assurance and quality on flagship data centre and infrastructure projects in London. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure design compliance, and drive standards in a fast-paced contractor environment. Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Extensive experience leading engineering functions on large-scale projects.
• Proven expertise in technical assurance, governance and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical governance, engineering assurance and quality control for major projects.
• Ensure design compliance and adherence to standards across multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote engineering standards and best practices.
• Lead flagship data centre/infrastructure projects from London-based sites.

The Project Engineering Manager role itself where you will oversee technical governance, engineering assurance, and quality control for major projects including the construction of high-spec data halls, energy centres, and associated infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include ensuring design compliance, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, and promoting engineering standards. You will have

To be successful as Project Engineering Manager, here you will have a healthy mix of the following:

• Extensive experience leading engineering functions on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
• Proven expertise in technical assurance, engineering governance, and quality management
• Strong leadership skills managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Robust understanding of design management, buildability, and constructability principles
• Experience in data centre projects is highly desirable
• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status is preferred
• CSCS Manager Card and relevant training in Temporary Works
• Experience with NEC contracts
