Job summary

RSE Water is seeking a Project Engineer to lead delivery of chemical and wastewater projects across our MEICA portfolio. You will ensure technical, commercial, programme, quality and health & safety objectives are met, while building strong client relationships and collaborating with our in-house design team.

Supported by an experienced team, you will manage site surveys, supervise trades, review drawings and schedules, and contribute to tender and construction programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in a Hazardous Environment, preferably Chlorine Gas or Methanol Dosing.
• Proven engineering or supervisory background.
• Good time management, ability to multitask and organise workloads.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering tools, equipment, and materials.
• Driven and able to work both independently and in a team.
• Innovative thinker capable of learning new technologies.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Project liaison from enquiry to final acceptance and documentation, meeting clients as required.
• Instructing, directing, controlling and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity and safety.
• Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.
• Interpret and check drawings, specifications and schedules for all activities, directing works accordingly & prepare final documentation (As Built Drawings etc.).
• Early Identification and resolution of non-conformance within both the design and construction phase
• Manage the design of systems and products, ensuring alignment with design specifications and technical aspects.
• Completion of contract documents
• Management of Project Quality deliverables and procedures ensuring compliance with Internal and Client Quality Systems.
• Input to Tender, design and construction programmes including progress updates and reporting.
• Subcontractor liaison, management including tender specification, quotation and H&S documentation review and appraisal.
• Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects with Principal Contractor responsibility under CDM.
