Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Reading region team.

You will support technical delivery across design, construction, commissioning and documentation, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while coordinating with site teams, clients and subcontractors. With a strong focus on water and process projects, you’ll review submissions, assist with design changes and support procurement to keep the programme on track.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
Understanding of UK engineering standards, codes and regulations for water/process projects.
Health & Safety awareness relevant to construction and engineering projects (SSSTS or equivalent preferred).
Proficiency with technical documentation, drawings and basic project software (AutoCAD, MS Project).
Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role on water/industrial projects.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation, review and interpretation of drawings, specs and technical documentation.
Provide technical support to site teams during construction and installation activities.
Coordinate with design engineers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure constructability.
Review design submissions and provide comments or recommendations.
Support procurement activities in line with project programme.
