Job summary

TRS Consulting is seeking a Project Engineer / Senior Field Service Engineer to operate across the UK, travelling with an average of one night away per week. You will install and commission hardware, develop drawings, configure software and coordinate with customers and subcontractors to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate has field service or commissioning experience, an engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent) and a valid UK driving licence, with DBS checks as applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, commissioning, control/instrumentation or project engineering roles.
• Ex-forces engineers welcomed to apply.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel; DBS check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of hardware, software and electrical components at customer sites.
• Development of design documentation (including drawings) according to customer requirements.
• Configuration of application software, Windows OS and PC hardware.
• Co-ordinating with customers and sub-contractors to schedule project activities.

• Configuration of application software, Windows operating system and associated PC hardware
• Co-ordinating with customers and sub-contractors to schedule project activities

Your Background - Project Engineer / Senior Field Service Engineer

To apply you should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience working in a field service engineer, commissioning engineer, control and instrumentation engineer or project engineer role
• Ex-forces engineers are welcomed to apply
• HNC or similar in relevant engineering discipline
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and be DBS checked
