Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Fire & Security Systems Project Engineer - Installation and Commissioning to cover the Midlands. You will install and commission fire, life safety, and security systems, overseeing sites and subcontractors while applying codes of practice and safety regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, drawing interpretation, and comprehensive knowledge of fire/life safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Notifier, GENT, Advanced, Apollo, Hochiki fire/life-safety systems.
• Experience in a similar role or with large-scale systems.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Ability to interpret drawings and construction site practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with multiple communication protocols from different manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and commissioning Fire, Life Safety and Security systems.
• Inspecting sites to identify and eliminate safety hazards.
• Recommending changes to project operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
• Understanding interconnectivity between various systems.
• Testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper function.
• Providing end-user training on system operation.
• Complying with safety standards and regulations.
• Resolving systemic issues with short, medium, and long-term solutions.
