Join the BNI and BOP Piping JDO MEH team to support the full lifecycle of piping design from early basic design through to commissioning handover. You will engage multiple stakeholders, manage design updates, and lead TQ activities to ensure safe, on-time delivery on a national scale.

Qualifications

• Experience on technically complex and regulated projects (preferably nuclear).
• Proven ability to deliver engineering safely to quality, time and cost constraints.
• Experience engaging, managing and influencing stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Strong presentation, influencing and facilitation skills; excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Meticulous and rigorous engineering approach with self awareness of limits.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the Package Project Management team and attend PM meetings.
• Collate and maintain the support tracker from HO2 to HO3.
• Manage change processes for design updates after HO2 pre-HO3.
• Lead the technical query (TQ) process and coordinate responses.
• Ensure CEMAR reflects TQ progress and resolutions.
• Provide technical input to HO3 requirements.
• Contribute to HO1-HO2 constructability issues as required.
• Support Lead as needed.

As part of the BNI and BOP Piping JDO MEH team you’ll be supporting the full lifecycle of piping design, from early basic design at Handover 1 through to final handover for commissioning at Handover 4.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Providing engineering (Technical) support to the Package Project Management team, including attendance at weekly/monthly PM meetings.
• Collating and maintaining support tracker to record support book releases and design holds at HO2, through to manufacturing completion at HO3.
• Managing change management process relating to design updates post HO2, pre-HO3.
• Managing the technical query (TQ) process for the package, including chairing regular TQ meetings with stakeholders and facilitating responses from responsible departments, as required.
• Ensuring CEMAR is maintained to reflect TQ progress and resolutions.
• Managing Engineering input to HO3 requirements.
• Providing technical input into HO1-HO2 'Constructability' issues, as required.
• Providing support to Lead, as required.

You’ll Need To Have

• Track record of working on projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
• Demonstrate expertise in relevant technical discipline within the pipework manufacturing/construction/management environment.
• Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a fast paced, schedule driven environment.
• Experience of successfully engaging, managing and influencing groups of stakeholders and facilitating issues resolution.
• Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
• Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.
• Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, construction, or other related field.
