Hunter Selection is seeking a Project Engineer in Sutton Coldfield to deliver engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, helping to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, quality and safety. This varied role suits a proactive engineer who enjoys managing projects, supplier engagement and driving continuous improvement.

You will lead projects, produce CAD drawings, specify and install equipment, manage budgets and timelines, coordinate contractors, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering projects in manufacturing.
• Experience commissioning capital equipment.
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident managing suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.

Opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business. This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for delivering engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, helping to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, quality, and safety.

This position would suit a proactive engineer who enjoys managing projects, working with suppliers and contractors, and driving continuous improvement across a manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Produce and interpret CAD drawings and technical documentation.
• Specify, procure, install, and commission new manufacturing equipment.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and effectively.

About You

• HNC/HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience introducing and commissioning capital equipment.
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident managing suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
