Job summary

Mane Contract Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Engineer to own complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery. You will interface with engineering, project management, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires a degree in engineering, IEng status, strong 3D CAD (SolidWorks), and knowledge of BS 8888 and GD&T, plus proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, along with clear communication and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• IEng status with a professional institution.
• Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of BS 8888 and GD&T.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Strong communication with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Excellent report writing and project documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into clear engineering deliverables.
• Define and manage engineering project outputs through the lifecycle.
• Lead overall system design activities.
• Manage project design data and engineering resources.
• Organise and document formal design reviews, including PDRs and CDRs.
• Monitor engineering hours, budgets and project schedules.
• Liaise with Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
• Produce and review concept designs.
• Check and approve manufacturing drawings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes.
• Support testing and instrumentation data logging as required.
