Job summary

City of York Council is seeking a Project Engineer in Highway Maintenance to join the Highways Basic Maintenance Team. You will bring technical highway and civil engineering experience to support asset management and delivery of small works schemes.

Ideally you will have AutoCAD and Civil Engineering design experience, but training and support will be provided for the right candidate. This role offers development opportunities and flexible working practices within a supportive council

Qualifications

• Experience in civil/highway engineering is beneficial.
• Training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
• Teamwork and initiative are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance, reconstruction and improvement of highway assets.
• Support delivery of Capital and Revenue small works orders and minor schemes.
• Work with highway managers, inspectors and operational staff to deliver projects.
