Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Senior Project Manager across allocated projects, ensuring on-schedule delivery and meeting customer expectations, while supporting HSE, installation progress and quality control.

You will conduct site surveys, plan and coordinate fire detection, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm works, and ensure designs meet EN/BS/HTM and BAFE/NSI standards. You will also prepare reports and assist with commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire detection, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems against British/European Standards.
• Ability to follow design specifications and implement good installation practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and prepare documentation considering security and fire risk factors.
• Plan fire detection, access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems.
• Ensure design specs are compatible with EN, BS, HTM and BAFE/NSI Codes of Practice.
• Coordinate installation activities to follow procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Actively monitor and manage project progress.
• Ensure adherence to company policies on quality, health & safety and false alarm management.
• Provide reports to the Project Manager and company officers.
• Commissioning and testing systems; complete commissioning paperwork.
• Demonstrate operation of systems to client representatives.
