Project Engineer (Data Management)

Cambuslang, Glasgow

Permanent, full-time

Salary up to £55,000 per annum + excellent benefits package

What you'll be doing
  • Responsible for collating Transmission Overhead Line (OHL) asset and reporting data.
  • Collect and compile asset data related to Transmission Overhead Line assets to maintain a robust inventory for reporting purposes.
  • Manage the Transmission Circuits Operations scorecard and gather all required data monthly.
  • Support the Senior Project Engineer in developing Inspection & Maintenance (I&M) programmes to ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting.
  • Help ensure the safe and timely delivery of the OHL I&M work programme, including inspections, maintenance, fault investigation/repair, and defect management, working with internal staff and external contractors.
  • Manage and report drone activities for the circuits team and act as drone coordinator.
  • Proactively coordinate with internal and external interfaces to ensure effective time management and resource availability.
  • Monitor work processes and outputs to maximize productivity.
  • Continuously seek knowledge and experience in relevant business procedures and system operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with departmental and contractor interfaces.
  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety standards to promote a zero-accident culture and safety behaviors.
  • Review invoices against work plans, challenge contractor submissions, and request invoice amendments.
  • Focus on continuous improvement through quality processes.
  • Participate in training and development activities and evaluate their effectiveness.

Minimum Criteria
  • Electrical Engineering HNC qualification and/or significant relevant industry experience in Transmission Overhead Lines.
  • Site Management Safety Training / Safety Passport.
  • Knowledge of CDM and HSAWA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Valid full driving licence.
