Project Engineer (Data Management)

Location and Employment Details

Cambuslang, Glasgow

Permanent, full-time position

Salary up to £55,000 per annum + excellent benefits package

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Responsible for collating Transmission Overhead Line (OHL) asset and reporting data.
  2. Collect and compile asset data related to Transmission Overhead Line assets to ensure a robust inventory and data for reporting.
  3. Manage the Transmission Circuits Operations scorecard and collate all required data monthly.
  4. Support the Senior Project Engineer in developing Inspection & Maintenance programmes to ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations.
  5. Assist with regulatory reporting.
  6. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of the OHL Inspection & Maintenance work programme, including inspections, maintenance, fault investigation/repair, and defect management, working with internal staff and external contractors.
  7. Manage and report drone activities for the circuits team and serve as drone coordinator.
  8. Proactively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective time management and resource availability.
  9. Monitor work processes and output to maximize productivity.
  10. Continuously seek knowledge and experience in relevant business procedures and system operations.
  11. Maintain strong working relationships with departmental and contractor interfaces.
  12. Comply with company health and safety requirements to promote a zero-accident culture and good safety practices.
  13. Check invoices against work plans, challenge contractor submissions, and request invoice amendments as needed.
  14. Focus on continuous improvement through quality processes.
  15. Participate in training and development activities and review their effectiveness.

  11. Working knowledge of SAP.
Minimum Criteria
  1. Electrical Engineering HNC or significant relevant industry experience in Transmission Overhead Lines.
  2. Site Management Safety Training / Safety Passport.
  3. Knowledge of CDM and HSAWA regulations.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  5. Valid full driving license.
