We’re looking for a forward-thinking Project Engineer to join our Major Projects team at Northern Powergrid.
As the energy industry moves toward a smarter, greener future, we’re delivering major capital programmes that will power 3.9 million homes and businesses across the North East, Yorkshire, and northern Lincolnshire. In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on the design, development, and delivery of HV and EHV projects—from substations to network reinforcements.
Working closely with customers, contractors, and cross-functional teams, you’ll translate technical requirements into cost-effective engineering solutions that meet our time, cost, quality, and safety expectations. You’ll be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from scope definition and design through to project close-out and performance review—playing a key role in enabling a more resilient and sustainable electricity network.
