Job description

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 4.30pm)

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a company based in Selby, North Yorkshire on a permanent basis.

The Role

To support the continual growth and development of our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of onsite project requirements from inception, design, installation, testing, and completion. You should be a highly motivated technical engineer with project management experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to drive projects forward.

Duties
  1. Support the full project lifecycle from design to delivery, including training and handover (applications to authorities, design packs, drawings, risk assessments, construction, and commissioning).
  2. Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, service providers, site-based/group engineering, and production teams.
  3. Act as the point of contact for site-related project issues, managing stakeholder relationships and facilitating meetings.
  4. Manage and update drawings of current plants and processes.
  5. Survey site conditions and produce accurate drawings of design solutions, overseeing manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  6. Identify solutions to plant issues to improve equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  7. Assist with general duties on a busy, expanding production site.
  8. Contribute to site SHE objectives.
  9. Undertake other duties as reasonably requested.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
  1. Chemical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  2. Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
  3. Experience with process pipework.
  4. Strong management of drawing revisions and issues.
  5. Experience managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites.
  6. Flexibility and adaptability.
  7. Hands-on approach.
  8. Keen to manage various small projects, tasks, and resources.
  9. Experience with Inventor is advantageous.
  10. Self-motivated and driven.
  11. Strong collaborative skills.
