🚀 Project Engineer

📍 Wednesbury, West Midlands

💷 £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

We’re a UK engineering and fabrication specialist working across energy, nuclear, defence, aerospace, and environmental sectors. Business is growing — and we’re looking for a Project Engineer who thrives on variety, complexity, and delivering one‑off solutions.

The Role

Lead bespoke engineering projects from concept to commissioning. No production line repeat work — every project is different. You’ll coordinate across design, fabrication, welding, and site teams, keeping projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Do
  • ✅ Own projects end‑to‑end — client liaison, fabrication, installation, commissioning
  • ✅ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015, BS EN 1090, welding standards
  • ✅ Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risk, and scope
  • ✅ Produce and control WPS, inspection / test plans, traceability records
  • ✅ Solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement
What You Bring
  • 🎓 Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Metallurgical Engineering (or similar)
  • 🔧 Heavy engineering experience —‑off / batch environments preferred
  • 🔥 Strong knowledge of welding standards & processes (ARC, MIG, TIG)
  • 📑 Hands‑on with ISO 9001 systems & technical documentation
  • 📈 Proven track record delivering unique, tailored engineering projects
