We specialize in temporary structural element projects (Formwork and Falsework) for the Construction industry, covering Structural and Civil sectors. Due to expansion, we require a Project Engineer who can manage temporary structural element projects from concept to completion. You can be based at our offices in Burton-on-Trent or Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile infrastructure projects across the UK.

Basic Salary

Up to GBP 50,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Description

Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer specializing in Temporary Works, Formwork, Falsework

Role Overview

We need an experienced Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery of temporary works designs on high-profile infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works designs from concept to completion, especially formwork and falsework systems (various materials)
• Review and produce technical drawings to a high standard
• Produce and verify structural calculations
• Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and designers
• Mentor and guide junior Engineers
• Maintain documentation, compliance, and quality control standards

Person Specification

Background in temporary structural elements projects, civil engineering, and/or structural engineering is essential.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Experience designing formwork and falsework for the construction sector
• Understanding of temporary works procedures and safety standards (e.g., BS5975)
• Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) or working towards it is preferred
