Job summary

Wavin Ltd in Doncaster is seeking an Engineering & Improvements Project Engineer to join the site engineering team. You will lead diverse engineering and capital projects that enhance safety, reliability, and manufacturing performance.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will embed continuous improvement across the business, develop business cases for investment, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver measurable benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Engineering Project Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver multiple projects.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Knowledge of injection moulding, extrusion, or automated assembly systems is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commercial awareness with experience developing business cases for capital investment.
• Experience using CAD drawings within an engineering environment.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for innovation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering improvement, development, and capital investment projects from concept through to completion
• Manage project safety, budgets, timescales, and delivery to the highest standards
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, equipment efficiency, and cost
• Act as the Doncaster site lead for Continuous Improvement, embedding the global Orbia CI framework
• Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Support the Engineering Manager on strategic engineering initiatives
• Produce business cases for capital investment projects
• Research and introduce new technologies that improve manufacturing performance
• Support facilities, infrastructure, and wider site improvement activities

About you
