Job summary

Balmoral Comtec Limited in Aberdeen is seeking a Project Engineer to manage customer projects from handover to completion. You will coordinate manufacturing, procurement and logistics to hit milestones, maintain schedules and budgets, and report progress and risks to stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, independent work, and a proactive approach to project improvement. On-site in Aberdeen with opportunities to contribute to offshore energy projects.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical or Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in a project engineering or PM environment.
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer projects from project handover through completion.
• Coordinate manufacturing, procurement and logistics activities to achieve project milestones.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets and progress reporting.
• Communicate project status and potential risks to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support product testing activities and coordinate customer witnessing requirements.
• Prepare commercial and technical project documentation, including final project records.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. (Desirable: Degree in an Engineering discipline, additional project management or engineering qualifications).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a project engineering or project management environment.
• Experience within manufacturing or engineering projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
