Job summary

Owen Daniels are recruiting a Project Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company on a permanent basis. The role is onsite in Aberdeen with UK and international travel for project delivery, focusing on quotations, customer relationships, and project execution.

The ideal candidate has an electrical engineering qualification and strong communication, organisation and time management skills to drive projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, assess requirements, identify risks and estimate delivery times.
• Build customer relationships, develop opportunities, and attend project meetings across the UK.
• Manage customer communication and support project reviews and lessons learned.
• Oversee contracts, costs, timescales, changes and risk assessments.
• Provide on-site support across the UK and internationally, ensuring resources are available.

Hours: Onsite - 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits

Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturing company, and we are looking for a Project Engineer to join on a permanent basis, due to growth in the business.

Project Engineer - Key responsibilities:

• Support the project team by preparing quotations, assessing work requirements, identifying risks, and estimating delivery timescales.
• Build strong customer relationships, develop new opportunities, and attend project meetings with customers and site teams across the UK.
• Manage customer communication throughout the project and support successful project completion, including reviews and lessons learned.
• Oversee project delivery by managing contracts, costs, timescales, changes, and risk assessments to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide on-site support across the UK and internationally, ensuring the right people, equipment, and information are available throughout the project.

Project Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience in the electrical rotating machines industry with a relevant BTEC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of project financial impacts, with a focus on delivering successful outcomes.
• Strong customer focus with excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with experience supervising others preferred.
• A proactive and motivated approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and flexibility to work on sites across the UK and internationally.
