Job summary

Connected Search Group is seeking a Project Director to lead complex engineering projects in a regulated environment from initial sales handover through to delivery. You will chair cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive rigorous scheduling and cost control across multi-discipline work streams.

The role requires a proven track record in nuclear, oil & gas, power generation, process or manufacturing sectors, with strong stakeholder management and HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or significant experience in an engineering company.
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects on time, cost and quality.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, HSE, CDM and CE regulations.
• Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in P6 or MS Project with scheduling, budgeting and cost control skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS and SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from sales handover and client kick-off through to completion.
• Build and maintain detailed project programmes in P6 or MS Project.
• Manage project budgets, approve POs and control costs.
• Handle contract variations, payment applications and cash flow.
• Produce monthly project status reports and escalate risks.
• Coordinate engineering, design, EC&I and workshop teams to meet specs.
