Role Overview

Buro Happold is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Project Director based in one of our UK offices (Bath, London, Manchester, Leeds). This role involves overseeing the technical and financial performance of all technical teams delivering projects in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee project planning, including programme, financial management, risk, budgets, and technical performance.
2. Act as a trusted client advisor and lead external team management and coordination.
3. Represent Buro Happold to clients.
4. Manage and oversee the technical performance of Buro Happold teams.
5. Ensure compliance with quality management systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong technical background in civil infrastructure design.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior audiences.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure or masterplanning projects, managing financial and technical performance, in the UK and abroad.
• Proven ability to manage risks, changing priorities, and external teams.
• Experience in fee estimation, proposal development, and T&C negotiations.
• Professional membership of a relevant professional body.
