Job summary

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP. We are recruiting a Project Director to join the team in Warrington or Cumbria, leading a major project and building a high‑performing delivery team.

You will provide governance, senior leadership across PPP, and drive delivery strategies aligned to set targets, while building trusted relationships with customers and partners in a complex, matrix organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or related field, with Chartered status (ChPP, APM or equivalent).
• Significant Project Director-level experience leading major, complex engineering, infrastructure or EPC(M) programmes.
• Strong commercial and delivery capability including contract management, project controls, governance and performance.
• Proven senior leadership and client-facing experience.
• Ability to travel to customer and project locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a major PPP project with an approximate value of ~ £700m, with overall accountability for successful delivery and performance.
• Develop and lead a high-performing project delivery team, effectively deploying resources to meet project and customer demands.
• Provide strong governance and leadership throughout the Sellafield gated project lifecycle.
• Provide senior leadership across PPP and contribute as a member of the PPP Leadership Team.
• Embed the PPP Way and promote a culture of safe, predictable and commercially successful delivery.
• Shape delivery strategies aligned to Sellafield’s key targets, milestones and programme priorities.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and delivery partners, representing Amentum in senior discussions and performance reviews.
