We are seeking a highly experienced Projects Director to lead the delivery of a major £150m infrastructure project in Winchester, as part of a long-term joint venture framework.
The Role
Reporting to the Programme Director, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of the project—ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex construction programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate all phases of project delivery
Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met
Manage stakeholder relationships, including JV partners, suppliers, and the client
Lead planning, forecasting, and risk management processes
Oversee commercial and contractual aspects, including NEC contracts
Champion project governance and continuous improvement
About You
Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects (ideally water industry)
Degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline
Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM PMQ)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to drive performance in complex environments
Chartered professional status
Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure
