Job summary

Aureos is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the building aspect of the Washwood Heath Depot project in Birmingham. You will manage complex infrastructure from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, 15+ years in project leadership, PMP/PgMP preferred, and ability to coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and JV partners,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or Director-level role.
  • PMP or PgMP certifications desirable.
  • Ability to travel to project offices and sites.
  • Experience with HS2 is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee building of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, WBS, resources and timelines.
  • Manage budgets and drive cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks with contingency plans.
  • Lead project teams and mentor staff for successful delivery.
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, contractors and regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and JV procedures.
  • Prepare progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
