Job summary

Essential Employment is recruiting a Project Development Officer to lead the early development and planning of major property and capital projects. You will drive project initiation, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and resource planning to ensure projects are set up for success from day one.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors and senior stakeholders, you will coordinate project activities, manage risks and support delivery of construction and estates

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects from initiation through to completion.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of project governance, risk management and project methodologies (PRINCE2 desirable).
• Experience within property, construction, estates or capital projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective working relationships.
• Relevant project management qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead early development and planning of major property and capital projects.
• Coordinate project activities, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Support resource planning and project delivery to set projects up for success.
• Mentor and guide Project Officers to share best practices across the team.
