Project Design Engineer - Manchester / Huddersfield / Bolton / Oldham / Rochdale

Duration: 3-6 months contract / Outside IR35

Rate: £37.50p/h - £42.50p/h

Skills: Solidworks / PDM / Pharmaceutical / Special Purpose Machinery

I am recruiting for a well-established UK leader within the design, installation, and commissioning of bespoke complex machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. Due to ongoing projects, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer on an interim basis. The initial commitment is 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension.

Responsibilities:

1. 3D design and detailing using Solidworks to meet customer specifications
2. Develop new designs and improve existing products
3. Liaise with production and internal technical departments
4. Develop documentation and update project tools
5. Maintain customer contact throughout project delivery

Attributes:

• Extensive experience in designing bespoke equipment within the pharmaceutical industry
• Expert user of Solidworks & PDM
• Project design experience covering the full project lifecycle
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
• Professional, proactive, and able to excel within a team
