Project Delivery Manager (Decommissioning)
Operator client in Aberdeen requires a Project Delivery Manager for their decommissioning team. This is a PAYE contract; applicants must have full rights to work in the UK. Hybrid working with 1 remote day per week is available.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing an integrated contracting strategy for decommissioning activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Engaging with the supply chain to assess market capabilities, drive innovation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensuring competitive and transparent tendering processes, supported by robust contract management plans.
- Leading and managing key interfaces between internal teams (Asset operations, HSE, P&A) and external contractors for seamless project execution.
- Coordinating activities across engineering, HLV, platform P&A, and subsea decommissioning workstreams to meet project milestones.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating interface risks among various decommissioning scopes and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the Decommissioning Manager for strategic project planning and decision-making.
- Supporting cross-functional teams by providing leadership in resolving interface challenges.
- Building strong relationships with JV partners, contractors, and regulators to ensure alignment and compliance.
Performance Management:
- Monitoring contractor performance to meet safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Supporting project teams in adapting to changes while maintaining focus on cost, schedule, and risk management.
- Incorporating lessons learned into current and future decommissioning activities.
Safety Leadership:
- Modeling compliance with HSE policies and ensuring all activities adhere to safety standards.
- Managing the team through supervision, coaching, and effective communication, embodying company values.
- Developing team members' capabilities and supporting personal growth.
- Managing resources to deliver on budget, minimizing waste and risks, and addressing budget issues proactively.

Minimum qualifications:
- Leadership experience in decommissioning, construction, or project delivery, preferably offshore oil and gas.
- Management experience, ideally in an EPC contractor environment.
- Understanding of contracting strategies and supply chain in decommissioning.
- Knowledge of UKCS decommissioning regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience managing complex multidisciplinary interfaces.
