The Role

We seek an experienced Senior Project Manager with insurance sector expertise to join our Client Delivery team. Reporting to the Programme Director, you will oversee project management for key clients, managing changing priorities with a proactive, hands-on approach and technical savvy.

Our clients face technological and resource constraints, making product launches costly and time-consuming. INSTANDA allows insurers to build, test, and launch products rapidly without coding. You will ensure our customers can achieve these objectives easily, understanding their needs and timelines.

You will collaborate with INSTANDA teams, including developers, designers, business analysts, testers, change management, and leadership, to design and implement solutions aligned with strategic goals. You will bridge business requirements and technology implementation, promoting innovative architecture design, developing proof of concepts, and considering market drivers and first-mover advantages.

This UK-based role is primarily remote with some travel to our London office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from discovery to implementation, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence.
• Focus on complex/multi-workstream client initiatives, managing stakeholders and steering committees.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, acting as escalation point.
• Manage multiple projects using agile methodologies, initially for a major client, with potential to expand to others.
• Track project performance and report using appropriate tools.
• Maintain project documentation collaboratively with the PMO.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Support or deputise for the Programme Manager as needed.
• Ensure high-quality project delivery standards within INSTANDA.
• Mentor and coach team members and other project managers to improve delivery and personal development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in the insurance sector.
• Proven success delivering agile software projects on time and within scope and budget.
• Strong skills in project scoping, planning, milestone definition, budgeting, and deliverables management.
• Experience with end-to-end project lifecycle, especially platform or system replacements, focusing on interoperability and performance.
• Ability to effectively transition projects to closure and hand over to operational teams.
• Experience in requirement gathering, technical knowledge of API integrations and middleware is advantageous.
• Stakeholder management skills, with experience in product configuration, development, QA, and integration.
• Knowledge of industry-standard project methodologies and agile delivery.
• Ability to guide technical teams and manage outcomes and objectives.
• Confident in client presentations and leading commercial discussions.
• Experience with SaaS or platform solutions is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
