Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to deliver elements of projects and support programmes of work. You will assist in planning, reporting and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects meet time, cost and quality requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience in large projects, with strong communication, data reporting and project controls skills. Proficiency with relevant software is expected, and chartered status or certification is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Relevant experience supporting large and/or complex projects.
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with data, reporting and project control systems.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems; working towards a relevant professional certification or chartered status is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver distinct elements of projects and contribute to overall programmes of work.
  • Assist in producing plans and schedules to support time and quality standards.
  • Coordinate project information (actions, risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables) and escalate exceptions.
  • Collate and interpret data to prepare project documents and reporting outputs.
  • Analyse project data and trends to support decision‑making with practical recommendations.
  • Monitor project financial information and support basic commercial administration within defined authority.
  • Proactively monitor and evaluate project management processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to provide advisory support and ensure alignment between policy and practice.
