Job summary

Arcadis, the world's leading design, engineering and consultancy firm, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Cardiff to support project delivery across time, cost and quality targets. You will work within established procedures to prepare plans, schedules and reporting and coordinate stakeholder queries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Relevant experience supporting large and/or complex projects.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with data, reporting and project control systems.
• Proficiency in relevant software and systems; working towards a professional certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work within established procedures to assist in producing plans and schedules for projects, supporting delivery to time and quality standards.
• Coordinate project information (actions, risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables) and escalate exceptions as appropriate.
• Independently collate and interpret data to prepare project documents including plans, schedules and reporting outputs.
• Analyse project data and trends to develop simple, practical recommendations to support senior colleagues’ decision-making.
• Monitor and review project financial information to identify anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to accurate, up-to-date information.
• Support day-to-day commercial administration activities (e.g., tracking changes, assumptions/exclusions, and basic contract communications) within defined authority and guidance.
• Proactively monitor and evaluate project management processes to identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Liaise with stakeholders across the business to provide advisory support to internal clients, acting as a focal point for operational project queries.
