Project Co-ordinator (Delivery)

Location: Telferton (Edinburgh) or Galashiels – Office based

Salary: £37,560 - £46,950 + strong benefits package and excellent career progression opportunities/support.

What you’ll be doing

Working within the Edinburgh and Borders district team, reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will support the delivery of projects and programmes across the district, with an annual value of approximately £3m.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring safe activities in line with regulatory and license obligations.
  2. Delivering district business plan outputs while optimizing returns through incentive mechanisms.
  3. Engaging with customers and stakeholders to support robust communication activities.
  4. Developing project plans to minimize outages and meet performance targets such as Customer Minutes Lost, Customer Interruptions, Customer Satisfaction, Guaranteed Standards, and Time to Connect.
  5. Analyzing outputs and feedback to support continual improvement.
  6. Integrating asset stewardship and ownership values through sound engineering principles.
  7. Promoting exemplary safety behaviors and ensuring compliance with safety legislation.
  8. Delivering maintenance, reliability, system performance, and network security business plan outputs.
  9. Managing connections business plan outputs to optimize profitability.
  10. Handling a portfolio of capital investment projects and regulatory outputs.
What you’ll bring
  • Either a crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ, or equivalent experience within the construction and operations of electricity networks.
  • Project/programme coordination experience or experience in a customer service role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and incentive mechanisms.
  • General contract, commercial, and regulatory awareness with the ability to balance effective customer service and project delivery for maximum ROI.
  • Effective stakeholder and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and devise solutions.
  • Technical and operational experience in engineering (preferred but not essential).
  • Relevant operational authorization and knowledge of construction, maintenance, and engineering standards up to 33kV (preferred but not essential).
  • Computer literacy.
