Job description

Are you an organised administrator who enjoys keeping projects moving, coordinating deliveries and making sure everyone has the information they need?

We're recruiting a Project Coordinator - Construction for a specialist engineering business delivering equipment and systems to construction, commercial and industrial customers. This is a coordination and administration role, working with design and project colleagues to help turn approved designs into completed installations.

Our client provides a complete service from technical design and equipment supply through to installation and ongoing support. You'll join a small team where clear communication, attention to detail and following things through make a real difference to project delivery.

Once a solution has been designed, you'll help coordinate the administration needed to move it through delivery. You'll keep track of outstanding actions, liaise with suppliers and customers, and make sure potential delays are brought to the team's attention.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating project administration following handover from the design team.
  • Liaising with suppliers to confirm equipment availability, lead times and delivery dates.
  • Arranging deliveries and checking that customers and site contacts are ready to receive them.
  • Maintaining project records, schedules and outstanding-action lists.
  • Following up on orders, information requests and supplier commitments.
  • Keeping customers and internal colleagues updated on progress.
  • Helping coordinate installation dates with the relevant teams.
  • Identifying delays, missing information or delivery issues and escalating them promptly.
  • Supporting the preparation and organisation of project documentation.

You may currently be a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator, Contracts Administrator, Service Coordinator or Sales Administrator within construction, manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment.

You'll bring:

  • Strong administration skills and a methodical approach to organising your workload.
  • Experience coordinating orders, suppliers, deliveries or customer projects.
  • Confidence speaking with customers, contractors and suppliers.
  • The ability to stay calm, communicate clearly and handle challenging conversations professionally.
  • Good attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • A proactive approach-you're comfortable chasing updates, asking questions and following actions through.
  • The ability to manage several priorities and recognise when something needs escalating.

An engineering qualification isn't essential. We're looking for someone who can learn the products and processes, build effective working relationships and provide dependable administrative support.

  • £40,000 + benefits
  • Permanent, office-based role in Hull.
  • Varied involvement across engineering and installation projects.
  • Close working relationships with design, project and operational colleagues.
  • The opportunity to build specialist knowledge within an established engineering business.
