Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking a Project Coordinator to mobilise and deliver the Click Skills for Life programme across East Lancashire. You will coordinate outreach activities, work with libraries, local authorities, Jobcentre Plus, housing providers, VCSE groups and employers to develop referral pathways and engage priority learners.

You will also monitor delivery against plans, manage budgets, and support line-managed staff while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements

Qualifications

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area, or appropriate equivalent professional experience.
  • Successful experience of coordinating projects, programmes or services and delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Proven ability to monitor targets, KPIs, risks and delivery plans and produce clear progress reports.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records and evidence for funding, compliance, audit or contract management.
  • Exceptional organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Full driving licence with access to own vehicle and the ability to travel across Lancashire, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the mobilisation and development of the Click Skills for Life programme across East Lancashire, ensuring delivery reflects contractual requirements, approved Delivery Plans and local need.
  • Coordinate an accessible programme of face‑to‑face Outreach Digital Activities and Substantive Digital Skills provision in trusted community venues.
  • Work in partnership with libraries, local authorities, Jobcentre Plus, housing providers, VCSE organisations, community groups, employers and other services to develop referral pathways and engage priority learners.
  • Maintain clear project plans, delivery schedules, action logs and risk registers, escalating issues promptly and supporting practical resolution.
  • Monitor learner volumes, district coverage, progression, social value commitments and other project KPIs, using management information to identify gaps and provide accurate progress reports.
  • Coordinate quality assurance, learner feedback, case studies and continuous improvement activity.
  • Track project resources, venue usage and expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Line manage and support Click Project Officers and administrative support staff as allocated.

Salary: Up to £38,913.89 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37 per week

Working Weeks: 52 per year

The Exciting Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Coordinator to support the mobilisation and delivery of the Click Skills for Life programme across East Lancashire.

The programme will be delivered across Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale, working through trusted community venues and in partnership with local organisations and referral services.

About Click Skills for Life

Click Skills for Life is a Lancashire County Council funded programme designed to help adults develop the digital confidence and essential digital skills needed to participate fully in modern life. Working through trusted community venues, local partnerships and learner‑centred provision, the programme supports adults to access online services, improve employability, increase independence and progress into further learning, training and employment opportunities.

The role combines project coordination, partnership development, performance monitoring, quality assurance and line management. You will work collaboratively with curriculum, business support and partner teams to ensure delivery is well planned, responsive to learner need and compliant with contractual requirements.
