This is a fixed term post as part of the Cancer Transformation team. This role will support the planning, coordination and delivery of improvement projects. It will involve managing project documentation, relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, cancer pathway analysis and being an active part of project delivery.

The postholder will be proactive, self-motivated, flexible and responsive to changing needs and demands. They will keep the team organised and handle administrative matters efficiently.

Main duties of the job

• Ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved efficiently and effectively, while also taking responsibility for leading allocated projects within the wider strategic portfolio.
• Anticipate work that will be required and raise risks or issues whilst offering options for solutions.
• Respond helpfully to staff queries on an ad-hoc and sometimes disruptive basis.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism and personal integrity.
• Utilise cancer data to inform project directions and needs, and in communications with other staff to help them understand current and desired states.
• Facilitate the development of improved patient pathways, utilising service improvement methods.
