University of Sheffield AMRC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support diverse projects across the AMRC. You will provide coordination, planning and management support, working with project managers and technical leads. Some travel within the UK and internationally may be required.

As a Project Coordinator, you will support projects that range in scale and duration across different groups in the AMRC. You will provide project coordination and project management support. You will support project teams and be involved in scoping new project work, as well as ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, within budget and on time. Key aspects of your role will be to provide scoping and planning support to projects prior to launch. During the project lifecycle, the key aspects you manage are the procurement, financial and status progress updates.
You will support the delivery of a defined complex project. You will work on projects managed by a project manager, with support and guidance by a relevant Technical Lead and Technical Fellow. The role will involve periodical travel for on-site meetings, which will largely be domestically in the UK, but could also be international.
For this role, you will need to have strong communication skills allied with organisational ability and enthusiasm. You should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to solve problems creatively. Pragmatism and the ability to understand an issue from both your own organisation and the customers’ point of view is also important.
