Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Controls Manager (PMCM: Programme Solutions) to join our rail and infrastructure team. The role focuses on delivering robust project controls across schedules, costs, changes and risks, while engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure accurate data and timely reporting.

You will help drive best-practice administration, monitor forecasting, and support major bids with a view to optimising resources and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• Path to Chartered or Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body.
• Rail, Metro or Transport experience is advantageous.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent attention to detail to produce and validate reports and data sets.
• Experience in consultancy with client relationship management skills.
• Experience with Power Query/Power BI in reporting/planning/contract management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Controls function on various projects, aligning with schedule, cost, change and risk management.
• Engage with the supply base, ensuring integration and timely data on cost, progress and programming.
• Provide technical support and problem solving across the PM&C portfolio for planning and controls.
• Promote best-practice project administration across the PM&C portfolio for close control and forecasting.
• Assist in resource planning to deliver project commitments and technical staff utilisation.
