Project Controller

12 month contract (Inside IR35)

Location: Prestwick

37 hours per week

The Opportunity

Belcan are currently looking to recruit a Project Controller to work with one of our Aerospace clients located in Prestwick. This opportunity will support the introduction and maintenance of Project Management best practices. You will be working alongside Project Managers and Engineers on a very exciting project, developing a new product.

The role

As a Project Controller, you will be assisting the Project Manager in running the Project Management System (PM processes and review cadence) and providing the framework needed to enable the integrated engineering team to meet its goals. A large focus within the role will be to develop accurate, integrated, cross functional schedules and resource plans to assist the Project Manager in managing the project baselines. You will be assisting in managing the risks and opportunities at local level as well as continuously assisting the Project Manager in the development and upkeep of a streamlined reporting and stakeholder management process, using key metrics and dashboards appropriate to the phase of the project.

About you

We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years’ experience in a project-based role, who have relevant experience in planning, developing, and delivering projects. Experience of leading projects using agile methodologies is highly desirable, as well as strong financial and analytical skills. As a Project Controller, you will possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling you to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You will also need to have good organisational skills and experience using planning tools.
