Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, is hiring a Project Controller to join the Special Projects function. The role offers a 4-day working week (Mon-Thu) and requires onsite presence four days a week, with development opportunities and potential for diverse responsibilities.

The successful candidate will monitor scope, resource and cost, perform EACs, and deliver cost reporting using SAP, with exposure to Primavera P6 or MS Project as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and managing resource requirements on projects and programmes, including developing EACs and resource planning.
• Generating data/information/analysis for presentations and reports to the business and customers.
• Consolidating data/analysis for Control Account Managers for review and approval.
• Generating Variance Analysis Reports on a monthly basis with corrective actions.
• Ensuring programmes’ budgets are fully planned to meet customer and business requirements.
• Assist in preparation of bids and proposals and for EPPs.
• Support Baseline Change creation.
• Disseminating Weekly/Monthly tasking to the team.
• Analyze Actuals vs Plan for deployed personnel.
• Identify better ways to generate information (Tableau/Fuse/P6/PowerPoint).
• Utilise P6 for analysis and synthesis for CAMs.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Project Controller to join our team based from our Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4-day working week Monday - Thursday. As this role sits within our Special Projects function, candidates need to be prepared to work onsite in Ampthill 4 days a week (subject to business needs).

Individuals from scheduling / planning or cost controlling backgrounds with the characteristics and capabilities to become a Project Controller will be provided with the necessary support and development opportunities to fulfil your potential. Accountable to Control Account Manager and ultimately the Programme Manager you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling of scope, resourcing and cost on assigned projects. Scope, resource and cost planning, monitoring, cost reporting and Earned Value Analysis will be performed using SAP and other tools, which may include Primavera P6 or MS Project.

The Project Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Budgeting and managing the resource requirements on the projects and programmes, including managing and developing EACs; and resource planning, taking into account resources required to support a large number of activities.


• Generating data / information / analysis for presentations and reports to the business and the customer(s).


• Consolidating data / analysis for the Control Account Managers for review and approval.


• Generating Variance Analysis Reports (as required) on a monthly basis to cover variance at completion information with corrective actions. Work with the Programme Manager(s) and other stakeholders to implement the corrective actions to re-align the work to the baseline and budgets.


• Ensuring that all Programmes’ budgets are fully planned to ensure that customer and business requirements are met.


• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals.


• Assist in the preparation for EPPs.


• Support Baseline Change creation.


• Disseminating Weekly/Monthly tasking to the team.


• Analysis of Actuals vs Plan for deployed personnel.


• Help with looking for better ways to generate information for the team (Tableau/Fuse/P6/PowerPoint).


• Ability to go in to P6 to conduct analysis and synthesize for consumption by CAMs.

Required Skills, Qualifications And Experience
