Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Derby is seeking a Project Controller to support governance and reporting for the Test & Experimental Engineering portfolio. The role is hybrid, with 3 days on site per week, and will work closely with the Project Manager to align with company processes and milestones.

You will coordinate inputs for capital budgeting, contribute to resource planning, and help track risk across the portfolio while interfacing with the central PMO to ensure best practices are applied across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controllers within a portfolio environment.
• Strong accountability for Quality, Time, Cost and performance.
• Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience and working towards APMPQ or equivalent.
• Good communication and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and global environment.

Responsibilities

• Govern, manage and report on the portfolio of projects within TEE.
• Organise and facilitate the regular drum beat of meetings.
• Coordinate inputs from across the Group TEE sub-functions for the Capital Budget process to support annual commitments, including 5YP and resource planning.
• Support the delivery of the TEE key milestones and as well as the wider portfolio of projects.
• Coordinate and report on risk management across the portfolio.
• Support and implement assurance checks for the change management process for the portfolio.
• Interface with the central Project Manage Office to implement best practice and ensure alignment with company management processes.

T&EE brings together our global capability across Measurement & Test Engineering, Development Engineering and the planning and execution of Experimental Test & Rig activities to optimise investment in capability and decrease the overall cost and schedule of new product development.

What you will be doing:

• Supporting the Project Manager to govern, manage and report on the portfolio of projects within T&EE

Who we are looking for:

• Experience of working as a Project Controller in portfolio environment
• Demonstrated significant personal accountability for Quality, Time, Cost, and performance
• Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience and member of a professional body and working towards an APMPQ qualification or equivalent
• Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and global environment
