Job summary

Verallia UK is recruiting a Project Control Engineer for our Leeds site. Reporting to Project Manager, you will provide technical leadership across end-to-end manufacturing processes at Leeds, Castleford, and Knottingley, with a focus on plant control, instrumentation and automation.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in control or automation, experience managing contractors, and are skilled in PLC and SCADA design, process optimisation, and CAPEX delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Control Engineering or related field required.
• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in related discipline.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of plant control, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Leads capital investment projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Manages CAPEX budgeting and cost control, process optimisation, and delivery of engineering solutions.
• Provides technical ownership of PLC, SCADA, control and instrumentation systems.
• Manages calibration and maintenance of critical process measurement systems.
• Develops CAPEX projects from feasibility through commissioning and handover.
• Manages project risks, change control, and stakeholder communication.

Pay range and compensa

tion package

This is a monthly paid staff position, working 35 hours per week, however, due to the nature of the role, there may be occasions when you will be required to work over and above your contracted hours and demonstrate a level of
