Job summary

National Highways is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Significant Projects team in Major Projects. You will lead closeout activities, manage risks and deliverables, and ensure compliance with governance, safety and environmental commitments.

Travel to Birmingham and Manchester for monthly meetings is required, while the role can be based from any UK office. As a Project Manager, you will guide cross-disciplinary teams, oversee documentation, and ensure commitments are honoured

Qualifications

• Experience leading closeout of complex projects.
• Strong governance, health, safety and quality focus.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the closeout of complex projects through Stage 7 and manage defects and handover.
• Define roles, responsibilities and ways of working to align with objectives.
• Produce high-quality project management documentation and reports.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and constraints.
• Capture lessons learned and champion best practice in governance and safety.
