Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Civil Engineer for our Northampton team. You will contribute to a varied portfolio of development and infrastructure projects, taking greater ownership of drainage design and associated civil engineering tasks.

The role focuses on below-ground foul and surface water drainage design, preparing drawings in AutoCAD, and developing drainage strategies with SuDS knowledge. A UK civil engineering degree and 2–3 years' consultancy experience are expected.

• Degree or suitable qualification in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years' post-graduate experience in civil engineering consultancy.
• Experience of below-ground foul and surface water drainage design.
• Proficient in producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SuDS and familiarity with MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage.
• Understanding of highways design and its relationship with drainage.
• Good organisational and communication skills; ability to manage workload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
• Right to work in the UK.

PRP is looking to appoint a Project Civil Engineer to its Northampton team. This is an opportunity for an engineer with some consultancy experience to contribute to projects across the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors, developing their technical responsibility within an established team.

The Role

• Designing below-ground foul and surface water drainage systems.
• Producing and developing engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Preparing drainage strategies and SuDS designs.
• Contributing to highways and wider infrastructure design.
• Liaising with local authority planning departments and Lead Local Flood Authorities.

About You

• Around 2-3 years' relevant post-graduate experience in civil engineering consultancy.
