Job summary

Jewitt & Wilkie Architects in Glasgow is seeking a Project Architect or Experienced Architectural Technician to join our friendly team. You will contribute to the design and technical delivery of a diverse range of projects using ArchiCAD, from concept through to completion.

You will prepare planning packages, building warrants and construction information, coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors, and attend meetings and on-site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Must have professional qualifications and good communication skills.
• Experience with planning, building warrant, and construction information processes.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Experience with ArchiCAD is highly desirable.

Job description

Jewitt & Wilkie Architects is seeking a Project Architect or Experienced Architectural Technician to join our Glasgow office. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and technical delivery of a diverse range of projects using ArchiCAD, working collaboratively from concept through to completion.

Project Architect / Experienced Architectural Technician (Applications that do not fully match exact positions advertised, such as Part 2 Assistants, may still be considered, depending on experience and knowledge).

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects from inception through to completion, preparing planning, building warrant and construction information, coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors, and attending meetings and site visits as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Relevant professional qualifications.
• Strong technical knowledge of current Building Regulations and construction methods.
• Experience of the current Full Planning Process, including knowledge of NPF4 and General Local Authority Guidance.
• Experience preparing planning and building warrant applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage workload independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
• Experience with ArchiCAD is highly desirable, as it is our primary CAD/BIM software.
