Project Architect & Architectural Technologist (MCIAT)
CMI Architecture is an RIBA / CIAT Chartered Practice based in Milton Keynes. We work across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on residential and commercial projects.
Due to our increasing workload, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Architect and Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) to join our team.
Key responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Prepare planning applications, drawings and necessary documentation
- Collaborate with architects and other members of the design team
- Coordinate information with external consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities
- Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, relevant standards and industry best practice
- Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
Skills and experience
- Extensive experience within a UK architectural practice
- Proven experience delivering projects across all RIBA work stages
- Strong technical detailing and construction documentation skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant software
- Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods and materials
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SketchUp for the preparation of 3D visualisations is advantageous
- Applicants must hold ARB / RIBA / MCIAT membership
