Job summary

HunterDunning Ltd. is seeking a Project Architect in Manchester to lead design and project delivery across all RIBA stages. You will coordinate internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders while managing client relationships and ensuring milestones are met.

Experience in sports or leisure projects and knowledge of Sport England Design standards are essential. The role offers a supportive team, opportunities for progression and a dedicated leisure-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong architectural design and project delivery experience.

Overview of the Role

A Project Architect job in Manchester is available with an established practice delivering sports and leisure projects across the UK. The role will involve leading design and project delivery across all RIBA stages, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders, and managing client relationships. Previous sports or leisure project experience and knowledge of Sport England Design standards are required.

Practice & Project Information

The practice has a strong pipeline of sports and leisure projects for operators, public-sector organisations and other stakeholders. Projects focus on considered approaches to materials, thermal comfort, acoustics and lighting. You will join a close-knit leisure team and contribute to projects at varying stages of design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and project delivery across all RIBA stages
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders
• Manage programmes and ensure agreed project milestones are achieved
• Lead client meetings and maintain clear project communication
• Apply Sport England Design standards to relevant projects
• Maintain design quality throughout project delivery

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 5 years' post-qualification experience
• Proven sports or leisure design and delivery experience
• Strong project running and client management skills
• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
• Good knowledge of Sport England Design standards
• Portfolio demonstrating strong architectural design and project delivery experience
