Job summary

Students’ Union UCL is seeking a Project Active Assistant to support the delivery of Project Active, the programme engaging inactive students in sport and physical activity. The role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexible 60/40 hybrid working, and a strong emphasis on on-site engagement at events.

You will work closely with the Project Active Coordinator to run beginner-friendly sessions, contribute to mass participation events, and be a welcoming point of contact for students

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Project Active, Students’ Union UCL’s programme designed to engage inactive students in sport and physical activity.
• Work closely with the Project Active Coordinator to deliver a year‑round programme of beginner‑friendly, accessible and inclusive activities, including weekly classes, pay‑and‑play sessions and large‑scale mass participation events.
• Be an enthusiastic ambassador for Project Active, supporting on‑the‑ground delivery, engaging with students and providing a friendly and welcoming point of contact.
• This is a hands-on role that requires regular on-site work and attendance at events throughout the year.

We are seeking a Project Active Assistant to support the delivery of Project Active, Students’ Union UCL’s programme designed to engage inactive students in sport and physical activity. Working closely with the Project Active Coordinator, you will help deliver a year-round programme of beginner-friendly, accessible and inclusive activities, including weekly classes, pay-and-play sessions and large-scale mass participation events. As an enthusiastic ambassador for Project Active, you will support on-the-ground delivery, engage with students and provide a friendly and welcoming point of contact. This is a hands‑on role that requires regular on‑site work and attendance at events throughout the year. The role is a full time and permanent contract. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 60/40 basis (60% working from the office). We will consider applications to work on a part‑time, flexible, and job share basis wherever possible.
