Job summary

General Dynamics UK Limited in Hastings seeks a Project Accountant to join the Projects Finance Team, focusing on financial control, EAC data, revenue recognition, costings, and UK/US GAAP reporting. You will collaborate cross-functionally and lead monthly activities with the Avionics Senior Project Accountant.

The role offers hybrid working (3 days in office) with flexible benefits and a salary of £41,600–£58,000 plus a benefits package. A qualifying accounting body is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in accounting roles and financial controls.
• Experience with UK/US GAAP reporting.
• Ability to apply AI for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide and analyse EAC data for projects.
• Manage revenue recognition and programme trading.
• Support bid and proposal activities, including costing and pricing.
• Ensure timely UK/US GAAP compliant financial reporting.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and external statutory reports.
• Communicate risks and opportunities to management.
• Support Avionics Senior Project Accountant with monthly activities and team leadership.
