Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK is seeking a detail-driven Finance professional to join the Project Finance Team as Avionics Senior Project Accountant. You will provide financial support, cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis to the programme, ensuring data integrity and policy compliance.

You will work with programme leads in a collaborative, hybrid role (office and home) with a focus on accurate reporting, cost awareness, and proactive process improvements within the

Qualifications

• Finance background and cost control expertise.
• Strong eye for detail and data integrity.
• Ability to negotiate with internal customers.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills for budgeting and reporting.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit.
• Familiarity with Oracle systems.
• Willing to start Accountant qualification (AAT/ACMA/ACA/ACCA).
• Familiarity with applying AI techniques to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Financial analysis and cost control for Air & Naval Projects, including forecasts, monthly actuals and variance analysis.
• Bid activity including costing, pricing, evaluating and presenting.
• Completion of Avionics Programme tasks weekly/monthly and responding to queries.
• Developing close working relationships with programme leads.
• Project Finance Team support.
