Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in Hastings is seeking a Project Accountant to join the Projects Finance Team. You will oversee EAC data, revenue recognition, bid costing, and financial reporting under UK/US GAAP, collaborating with management and the Avionics Senior Project Accountant.

The role requires strong Excel/ERP skills, leadership, and a collaborative mindset, with a hybrid working arrangement (office-based and home).

Qualifications

• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using ERP financial systems.
• Strong analytical capacity to identify trends and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide and analyse Estimate at Complete (EAC) data for projects.
• Manage revenue recognition, trading of programmes, and financial analysis.
• Support complex bid and proposal activities, including costing and pricing.
• Ensure timely and accurate UK/US GAAP financial reporting.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and external statutory reporting.
• Communicate risks and opportunities to management.
• Support the Avionics Senior Project Accountant with monthly activities and leadership.
